Our Commitment

Duncan Family Dentistry is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities. We continually improve the user experience for everyone, and apply relevant accessibility standards.

We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA, as referenced by the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and applicable federal regulations.

Measures We've Taken

  • Visible focus indicators on all interactive elements
  • Skip-to-content link at the top of every page
  • Descriptive alt text for all informational images
  • ARIA labels and roles for interactive components (navigation, forms, carousels, accordions)
  • Sufficient color contrast ratios (minimum 4.5:1 for body text)
  • Pause/stop controls for any auto-updating content
  • Reduced-motion support via CSS prefers-reduced-motion
  • High-contrast mode support via CSS prefers-contrast: more
  • Proper heading hierarchy on every page
  • Semantic HTML5 landmarks (header, nav, main, footer)
  • Form inputs linked to visible labels with autocomplete attributes

Known Limitations

Some third-party embedded content — including our online scheduling tool and payment portal — may not fully conform to WCAG 2.1 AA. We are working with those vendors to improve accessibility. In the meantime, please contact us directly for assistance.
